To expand the talent pool, and enhance the governance skills of charitable sector boards and senior leaders by:

• Building capacity in the sector by introducing new volunteers to board service
• Training charity senior leaders on board governance and leadership
• Being a public advocate and thought leader for good governance

Board service is a true “win win win” – the community wins, charities win and the individuals win. Getting the right people on the right boards frees the creative energies of the individuals.

People contribute in ways they might not have thought possible and develop, use and strengthen skills at the board table that helps them in other aspects of life – family, job and community.

Altruvest’s BoardMatch performance is impressive. We help charities and individuals connect, then we train and orient both parties to the match. We are building capacity in the sector at a significant point of leverage – the board table.

• Approximately 2,200 people now sit on community charity boards thanks to our BoardMatch program.
• Over 800 charities – in the GTA, Vancouver, Thunder Bay and Calgary – are registered with BoardMatch.
• Almost 500 additional candidates have completed the BoardMatch training and are actively searching / interviewing for board positions.

Altruvest will soon be expanding its BoardMatch Fundamentals program to other Canadian cities.
